Hello! I’m Liz Connolly, and I’d love to share a bit about myself and my approach to coaching.
As I reflect on my professional path, it’s not surprising that I’ve found my way to career coaching. I’ve always been that friend and colleague editing resumes and cover letters for fun, and my favorite conversations are ones in which I can facilitate insight and offer positivity and motivation.
I believe job satisfaction is about discovering what you’re energized by versus doing what you’re passionate about. I believe discovering, articulating, and then owning your strengths is a critical first step in the job search process. I believe isolating the variable(s) of what is causing you discontent at work is key to avoiding a new job that has the same problems. I believe your next career move should maximize what energizes you and minimize what drains you. And I believe we all deserve to have roles where we are seen, heard, and get to do what we do best.
Reflecting on these beliefs led me to start Coached by Connolly, because I learned that of all my responsibilities at work, 1:1 coaching brings me the most joy and energy.
In addition to coaching, I find joy and energy through running, yoga, reading, traveling, listening to music (read: Taylor Swift), spending time at the beach, catching up with family and friends, diving into personality assessments (Enneagram 9w1 and ENFJ over here), and watching my favorite sports teams (Go UCLA Bruins and Red Sox!).
Check out my Coaching page for more details, and schedule a free discovery call to chat more about your coaching goals and how I can support you. I’m based in Los Angeles, CA, but work with clients in many different time zones.
I look forward to connecting with you soon!
